Surviving and thriving in a competitive multichannel landscape will be the focus of this year’s SNL Kagan Cable MSO Summit, to be held on Thursday, November 18, 2010, at the Sentry Center Midtown East, New York City.

Produced by the SNL Center for Financial Education, the Summit will bring together top multichannel executives, investors and technology providers to discuss key trends and the strategies for meeting the unprecedented challenges facing cable MSOs.

Among the more than two dozen speakers and panelists are: NCTA President & CEO Kyle McSlarrow, who will open the conference with a Q&A session moderated by SNL Kagan Senior Analyst Robin Flynn covering such topics as the outlook for more regulatory oversight in retransmission negotiations disputes and the latest in the Title II debate; FCC Media Bureau Chief William Lake, who will offer the FCC’s outlook for the future and its role in such matters as refereeing retrans and other topics affecting cable in the year ahead; and Sean Riley, Fox Networks Senior Vice President of Affiliate Sales and Marketing, who will add interesting perspective on carriage agreements given recent high-profile renewals with multichannel operators and upcoming contract negotiations for many Fox networks.
