JBI Compliant SOA Solution Released in Beta by Bostech

Bostech Corporation today announced the beta release of their newest SOA solution, ChainBuilder ESB v1.0. With this release, ChainBuilder ESB, an open source JBI-compliant ESB, makes publicly available its Source Code to the open source community. This robust business integration beta product includes several other usability and feature enhancements as well as the premiere release of the ChainBuilder ESB for Linux. The Windows and Linux versions of this open source JBI-compliant ESB are available with the source code at http://www.chainforge.net.

"While we realize the majority of business integration professionals will prefer to continue to download and use the executable version of ChainBuilder ESB, the source code is also now publicly available with the beta release under either of our license options."

Bostech Corporation deploys a dual-license distribution model for the ChainBuilder ESB. Developers can download the open source software under the common GPL license. Additionally, these open source developers can purchase a subscription that provides ChainBuilder ESB training, support and intellectual property indemnification. A commercial license is also available for use where GPL is not available and for partners that do not want to release source code for their application.

A quick listing of the main enhancements added with the JBI-Compliant ChainBuilder ESB beta release illustrates the diversity of new business integration functionality this open source product now supports:

•     Source Code Availability. The first distribution of the application's source code is available off the Bostech Corporation sponsored http://www.chainforge.net website.
•     FTP Communication Protocol support. ChainBuilder ESB has added communication protocol support for FTP, expanding the current set of supported protocols that includes HTTP/SOAP, File and Java Messaging Service (JMS) for JMS-compliant servers like IBM WebSphere MQ.
•     Dynamic Content-based Routing. Delivered as a JBI Service Engine component, this new content-based router dynamically examines the message content through built-in and custom expression mapping and routes the message to destination endpoints.
•     IDE Testing Capabilities. The map and format editors now include Eclipse testing perspectives which allow the developer to verify the correctness of their configuration before deployment. This critical feature reduces the total development time when mapping and defining the formats in the Eclipse-based IDE.
•     Improved Graphics in Component Flow Editor. A new custom set of function icons have been professionally designed for ChainBuilder ESB.
•     Wizard Support in Component Flow Editor. Easy-to-use question and answer style wizard guides developers through the basic set up of each SOA component onto the ChainBuilder ESB canvas.
•     Linux Support. ChainBuilder ESB supports both Windows and Linux operating systems.
