Wanting the world to know about the corruption he found while presiding over a Catholic school, author Samson Kamara penned “Corruption Made a School Principal into a Refugee” (published by iUniverse) to express his frustration at what he found.
“Corruption has its roots in politics, with the big fishes being the most corrupt, and religious circles’ big frogs,” says Kamara. “There is no exception about this.”
Kamara takes readers through his clashes with corruption in England and how these clashes brought sadness and disappointment to his life. As he struggled to figure out what was going on around him, he found himself on the street when he refused to play by their rules.
An excerpt from “Corruption Made a School Principal into a Refugee”:
“You very well know the situation in the country. Once you give up your job, and you go away for further studies, your under man will make sure that you do not come back to sit on that chair again. You yourself know how many principals have lost their jobs that way, a number of them you know their names. Bribery and corruption is all that matters to retain any job.”
