President Selected to Open Sanford-Brown Institute – Orlando

Sanford-Brown Institute (SBI) - Orlando, a career-oriented school offering allied health programs, has named Aida Shehu as its inaugural campus president. Shehu comes to Orlando from SBI - Jacksonville where she served as the director of student finance since 2006. Prior to that, Shehu held a number of financial positions at other learning institutions.

In her new role as president, Shehu is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the school, including guiding business operations and providing direction for the college’s programs and future direction. Shehu also serves as a liaison between SBI- Orlando and its parent company, Career Education Corporation (CEC).

The first session of classes is set to begin in Orlando on November 23. Sanford-Brown has 28 campuses around the country with more than 21,000 students currently enrolled. SBI - Orlando will focus on hands-on training with industry-current tools. Its mission is to support the needs of a diverse student population by providing a quality, career-focused education. Sanford-Brown helps students prepare to pursue entry-level employment through a supportive and student-oriented environment while serving the needs of its community.

The SBI – Orlando campus will open in late 2009 and will offer programs in Medical Assisting, Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Cardiovascular Sonography.
