Miami, FL (PRWEB) June 15, 2012
Hip-hop artist Scott Nixx has released his latest mixtape, “My Way Out.” The project is presented by Coast 2 Coast and is hosted by Mr. Peter Parker. The mixtape is now available for free download and features Scott Nixx with appearances by Charlie Fettah, Jon-C, Cypha Diaz, The Rupness Monsta, Kidd Kane, Foon, Markuz Ocampo, Keisha Booker, Desi Ma, Fini, Livin Proof, Fenom, and Dtyhee.
Scott Nixx became a fan of hip-hop at an early age after his father slipped a RUN-D.M.C. record into his hands. After listening to Ice Cube’s “Death Certificate” album, he became more passionate about music and started to write his own lyrics. By 14, he was performing at various venues around Manitoba, Canada. Despite his enthusiasm for performing and making music, he became discouraged by the lack of marketing opportunities for a teenage white rapper. Although music was still a huge part of his life, he turned to a life in the streets. He eventually joined the group Contradiction, but soon realized he wanted to focus on his solo career and moved to Winnipeg.
After joining Boss Promotions Scott Nixx began entering battle competitions, working with local artists and appearing on mixtapes. He worked hard to perfect his craft so he could get the attention of various movers and shakers in Canadian hip-hop. To date he has opened for award winning artists (Nas, Busta Rhymes, Lloyd Banks, Royce Da 5’9, and more) and his songs have been featured on college and commercial radio stations.
“My Way Out” is the result of Scott Nixx’s journey of self discovery. The mixtape is now available for download or streaming.
