Send Me On Vacation

San Francisco, California (PRWEB) August 28, 2014

Send Me On Vacation is an organization dedicated to helping women who have been affected by breast cancer. This charity believes that part of the healing process of cancer involves being able to heal one’s mind, body, and soul. In order to do this, the organization takes women who have undergone breast cancer treatment and sends them on vacation to take the time to enjoy some much-needed peace and quiet. In order to fulfill the wishes of these patients, the organization hosts and participates in a variety of events, including the Jessica Camponova Staycation Tea and Jetting Pink Across America. The proceeds from fundraisers throughout the year then go toward providing vacations for 50 different survivors.

One event that is rapidly approaching is "A Winemaker Dinner To Crush Out The Effects of Cancer." On October 2nd, the wine train will be taking off from Napa Valley with breast cancer survivors on board. To give these survivors the experience of a lifetime, the organization needs help from the community. Send Me On Vacation is currently working to send 72 survivors on a dinner car during this event.

A donation of $150 will buy a ticket of one survivor for the train. Not only does this event help promote breast cancer awareness, but it will go directly towards providing a survivor a wonderful evening in Napa Valley. The charity is teaming up with the St. Helena Hospital in the Napa Valley to help select the lucky women who will be riding on the train.

The Napa Valley Wine Train offers terrific views as it travels through the beautiful city. The survivors who can embark on this unforgettable ride will experience a relaxing and enjoyable three-hour round trip that travels thirty-six miles. The passengers will then experience a delicious meal on board as the train glides through the beautiful vineyards of the Napa Valley.

In order to sponsor a survivor, guests can go to IndieGoGo campaign page to donate money to help with Send Me On Vacation’s goal of raising $10,000. Those who want to go on the train themselves also have access to this event. People who contribute $2,500 or more to the event will have an extra incentive to donate as they will also receive an 8-day/7-night stay at a five-star resort in beautiful Cabo San Lucas.
