On March 22, 2015, Shweiki Media Printing Company Founder and CEO Gal Shweiki—as president of the San Antonio Polo Club—participated in a massive fundraising polo match in Lahore, Pakistan to benefit non-profit organization Seedout.

The friendly match—dubbed The Seedout Polo Cup—took place between the home team, Pakistan Seed Out, and the visitors, San Antonio Polo Club, and was a close match, with both teams battling it out—both for bragging rights and for charity—in front of a crowd of more than 1,000 socialites, members of the media, local celebrities and the who’s who of Lahore.

In the end, the home team secured the victory with a two-point win over Shweiki and his team, but the real winner was Seedout and the people it aims to assist, as this was a huge fundraiser that greatly benefited the organization.

Seedout is a non-profit with the following mission: to fix the funding process by empowering people from all around the world to raise money for social cause and businesses. They do this by providing an online medium and leveraging the Internet to help and support unprivileged individuals and communities to fulfill their dreams, simultaneously alleviating poverty sustainably.

This polo match was the first of many events Seedout seeks to put on that will incorporate sporting events into its fundraising efforts and involve people from all over the world to assist the organization in its mission.

The mission of the San Antonio Polo Club—a non-profit organization—is to bring polo back to the greater San Antonio area by promoting the public education, awareness and appreciation for the sport of polo, and to provide opportunities for underprivileged children to learn horsemanship and develop skills to play polo and build their self-confidence.

As an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and polo fanatic, Shweiki was excited for the opportunity to travel and compete, all while helping Seedout in its noble mission.
