Cassandra Turner, an internationally recognized Singapore Mathematics teacher, trainer and consultant, will be a featured presenter at several two day conferences for mathematics educators organized by the Bureau of Education and Research (BER) in 2012-13. In addition, BER will continue to offer two of Turner’s full-day Singapore Mathematics seminars at cities across the United States in the 2012-13 school year.
Turner said, “It’s been an honor and a pleasure to work with the Bureau of Education and Research for the past three years. I’m excited that BER is taking my Singapore Mathematics seminars to teachers in even more cities this year and I’m very grateful to be invited present at BER’s Math Conferences.”
Turner will present her flagship workshop, “How to Use Strategies from Singapore Mathematics to Strengthen Your Math Instruction,” to educators in 20 U.S. cities. In addition, “Boost Students’ Math Problem-Solving Skills Using Singapore Model Drawing,” Turner’s information-packed seminar covering the signature feature of the Singapore Mathematics curriculum, will be offered in five cities. Turner will lead seven sessions at BER’s two day “Helping Students Succeed in Math” conferences in six cities.
