New TV Ads from Walter E. Smithe Furniture Say 'Let's Go Hawks'
Walter E. Smithe Furniture has begun airing new television commercials featuring the Smithe brothers with former Chicago Blackhawks stars Tony Esposito, Stan Mikita and Dennis Savard.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 2, 2009 -- As Round 2 of the NHL playoffs begins, Walter E. Smithe Furniture (www.smithe.com) has begun airing new television commercials featuring the Smithe brothers with former Chicago Blackhawks stars Tony Esposito, Stan Mikita and Dennis Savard.
Filmed on location at Chicago's United Center, Walter, Tim and Mark Smithe donned hockey gear and skated a few laps around the rink before teaming up with the Hockey Hall of Fame members for some practice shots, which the veterans (of course) aced. "You guys have still got it," Mark Smithe proclaims in the commercial, which is scheduled to air as long as the Hawks continue in the playoffs. Former coach and player Savard answers with a blistering slapshot.
"It was exciting to skate with our boyhood hockey heroes," said Walter Smithe.
"We used to skitch in our hometown of Park Ridge and always wanted to do it behind a real Zamboni," added Tim Smithe.
The Smithe brothers, who claim to be in the "Sofa Hall of Fame," say that they, like the Hawks, have one goal: a Stanley cup.
