The AEP named four Solution Tree resources as finalists for Distinguished Achievement Awards in the Professional Development–School/Class Management category. Three books dominate the teacher resources subcategory: Ahead of the Curve: The Power of Assessment to Transform Teaching and Learning, edited by Douglas Reeves; Ensuring Success in Math and Science: Curriculum and Teaching Strategies for At-Risk Learners, by Randolf Tobias; and Total Instructional Alignment: From Standards to Student Success, by Lisa Carter. The Solution Tree video series The Power of Professional Learning Communities at Work™: Bringing the Big Ideas to Life, featuring Richard DuFour, Robert Eaker, and Rebecca DuFour, is a finalist for best technology resource of the year.

No stranger to the AEP stage, Solution Tree earned two AEP awards in 2007 for Professional Development–School/Class Management. The Professional Learning Communities at Work™ Plan Book by Rebecca DuFour, Richard DuFour, and Robert Eaker won for best teacher resource. The award for best technology went to The Four Keys to Effective Classroom and Behavior Management: Building Community, Motivation, Responsibility, and School Safety, a video set featuring Richard L.
