Nine-Year-Old Girl Publishes a Book Inspired by Her Teacher

Sophia Hamrell is a little girl with a big spirit. An author at the age of nine is very inspiring in itself. While practicing her writing at school Sophia wrote her book. Of course her mother thought her book should be published but when Sophia validated her mothers suggestion with "That is what Mrs Engel, Sophia's grade three teacher, said." Her mother knew "the books" was to be published.

(PRWEB) September 18, 2006 -- The Books is a story/picture book for children ages 3 - 10. Sophia's goal is to share her story with young children everywhere through the recent publishing of "The Books." Sophia, a nine-year-old author, wants to inspire other children to write their stories.

FROM THE BACK OF THE BOOK

Here is what you can learn from my story.

1. You can write your own story in life because if you don’t like what’s happening you can change it by doing something different
2.   If you are the “bunny” get someone to help and tell them how you feel – just like the bunny did in the story
3.   If you are a “Christopher”: you can help the bunnies by giving them different choices on what to do and then walking beside them

So, my question is: Who are you? A Bunny or a Christopher?

Sophia's ability to understand the big picture at such a young age is evident through her insightful story she wrote at the age of nine. Her book, written in story-telling fashion, is fun to read.

The book was born from a school project which had the children view a picture and then write a story based on the picture. Proof that education is working.

When Sophia's mom read the story she was delighted at the story so much so she mentioned to Sophia that it was publishable material. Of course it should be published. Isn't that what any good mother would say? Funny though, the response she received set both Sophia, her mother and the illustrator Maya D'Mello, Sophia's Aunt, on a journey of a lifetime.
