The Spitzer Scandal left many individuals speechless and even more individuals with a lot to say. Often times scandals like this are brushed under the carpet in an effort to avoid public censure. But, the public has a right to speak--they have opinions and they want to share them.

MyOpinionNow.com conducted a survey among panelists and has decided to publicly release the results allowing their opinions on the Spitzer Scandal to be heard. Company spokesperson, Jane Harding, explains, "It is important for the people in this country to be assured that their right to free speech isn't meaningless. As one individual it can be difficult to realize the power of a single vote or opinion. MyOpinionNow.com has now become the vehicle to empower panel members by allowing individual opinions to come together as a collective influence, ensuring their efforts to be heard are effective."

Highlights of the Spitzer study include theories about possible motives for his behavior, the effect on his spouse, opinions on specifics of the scandal, and questions the public would like to ask Spitzer. Across all the demographics 52% felt the worst aspect of Spitzer's behavior was that he proved to be a hypocrite. Some other key findings of the study were that significantly more women and Republicans believed that prostitution is morally repulsive and should be illegal, while significantly more men and Democrats believed prostitution should be legal and that it is a business exchange. Across demographics panelists believed that both Spitzer and his wife feel humiliation more than anything. Full results of this survey can be viewed by clicking Public Opinions on Spitzer

Harding further highlights, "The Spitzer study that we recently conducted took into account the diverse opinions of our panel members regarding this highly topical issue. Our panelists had strong and interesting opinions on this subject which reflected not only the issue at hand but brings into play a even broader debate on a wider range of issues facing the American public that we thought were important to share."
