Sao Paulo & Buenos Aires (PRWEB) September 04, 2012
StartMeApp the Latin American leader in the global mobile advertising revolution, today announced the appointment of veteran mobile industry sales and marketing executive Emiliano Ferre as the mobile advertising company’s new Brazil Country Manager.
In his new position with StartMeApp, Mr. Ferre will be responsible for oversight of all operations, business development and client relations with StartMeApp’s growing list of agency and corporate advertising clients throughout Brazil.
The largest consumer market in Latin America, revenues in Brazil’s immense telecoms market are expected by analysts to reach US$120 billion by end-2012. Smartphone penetration in the Brazilian market currently stands at 14% of the total population of 190-195 million, representing 27 million Brazilian consumers with access to high-quality mobile advertising content via smartphone devices.
“The fast-growing Brazilian smartphone market represents a huge mobile advertising opportunity for StartMeApp and our expanding roster of agency and brand advertising clients in Brazil and beyond,” said Alejandro Campos Carles, Co-Managing Director and Founder, StartMeApp. “Emiliano Ferre’s extensive knowledge of mobile technologies and applications, plus his experience in mobile sales and marketing make him the perfect choice to lead StartMeApp’s ongoing growth in the Brazilian mobile advertising market.”
Emiliano Ferre brings to his new position as StartMeApp’s Brazil Country Manager a wealth of experience gained through more than 12 years in sales, management and consulting positions with leading telecommunications, mobile content and consumer brand companies in Latin America.
Mr. Ferre began his career in 1997 with Telefonica Moviles, where through 2008 he held a variety of Senior Executive positions in the areas of fixed-line and mobile services integration, emerging technologies, business development and partner relations.
Subsequently, Mr. Ferre served as Marketing Manager for the Mercosur countries with Porsche AG, before joining regional mobile applications development company Codamation in 2010 as Director of Channel Sales, responsible for business strategies, sales and marketing of mobile advertising and mobile payments applications throughout Latin America. Prior to joining StartMeApp, Mr. Ferre served as a corporate management consultant for Brazilian and Argentine companies.
“Recent market research studies show a very promising future in Brazil for mobile advertising, which StartMeApp has already begun to tap for the benefit of our agency and brand partners worldwide,” said Gaston Fonzo, Co-Managing Director and Founder, StartMeApp.
Among statistics that demonstrate an increasingly robust mobile advertising environment in Brazil, Fonzo cited recent survey results showing that:
StartMeApp’s expansion in the Brazilian market is the latest step in the ongoing growth of its regional mobile advertising operations, including recent office openings in Mexico City, Bogotá and upcoming launches slated for Q-4 in Miami and London. Already profitable in its second year of operations, StartMeApp’s expansion program has been fully funded through current operating revenues from its mobile advertising business.
As Latin American smartphone usage and mobile ad viewing increase rapidly, media owners, publishers and networks, as well as brands and creative advertising agencies have been relying increasingly on StartMeApp to guide them through the maze of Latin American mobile markets and ad networks, helping them to serve their mobile apps across the region’s 27 countries, complex demographics, multiple platforms, carriers and handheld devices.
An independent mobile advertising company, StartMeApp maintains relations with multiple publishers, ad networks and exchanges operating in the Latin American and U.S. Hispanic markets, enabling it to provide impartial advice and make recommendations to clients on the most appropriate means to meet their content distribution and advertising needs.
