Steamboat Bay is a luxurious artisan handcrafted resort with the uncommon distinction of being the closest lodge to the best fishing in SE Alaska.

KETCHIKAN, Alaska (PRWEB) April 30, 2013

The Waterfall Group, the leader in all inclusive Alaska sport fishing, today announced Steamboat Bay Fishing Club, an exclusive Alaskan luxury sport fishing resort set in a sheltered bay on Noyes Island near Ketchikan, AK, 90 minutes from Seattle.

“We’re proud of this unique addition to the family,” said Steve Cockrell, General Manager. “Steamboat Bay is a luxurious artisan handcrafted resort with the uncommon distinction of being the closest lodge to the best fishing in SE Alaska where salmon, halibut, ling cod and unique wildlife are found in abundance.”

In addition to its premier location, Steamboat Bay provides a private experience away from crowds with a level of personalized service rarely found in the sport fishing industry. “Steamboat Bay utilizes the same decades-long admired service model as Waterfall Resort Alaska, stepped up several notches,” said Cara Buswell, Steamboat Bay Resident Manager. “Our thoroughly-trained crew is resourceful, adaptive and expert when it comes to personalized service. It’s their job to accommodate needs whether a guest is relaxing and taking in the view at the resort or on the water bringing in the big one.”

Fishing at Steamboat Bay includes U.S. Coast Guard certified guides, G Loomis® and Shimano® rods and reels, bait and tackle, all-weather apparel and 25’ North River cabin cruisers with dual outboard motors. Each boat is equipped with an on-board winch which allows guests to crab and shrimp in addition to fishing. After fishing, Steamboat Bay’s professional fish processing crew custom-trims, vacuum-seals and flash freezes fish for the trip home.

The dining experience at Steamboat Bay includes distinctive, made-to-order meals created by Culinary Institute of America trained executive chef Jimmy Seery. “We’re proud of the culinary offering at Steamboat Bay,” said Chef Jimmy. “Guests will experience multi-course meals made from the freshest ingredients, organic greens from our on-site garden and house-made marinades and sauces.” Seery continued, “Steamboat Bay’s unique presentation kitchen and lay-out allows guests to view preparations from the Great Room, ask questions and enjoy impromptu tastings.”

Steamboat Bay Fishing Club hosts up to 16 guests in luxury ocean-front and forest-view accommodations furnished with a wood burning stove and outdoor deck.

All-inclusive packages start at $4595/person and include lodging, guided fishing, meals, open bar with premium wine, beer and spirits, Club Room with pool and poker tables, hot tub, sauna, massage and bay kayaking.

Steamboat Bay’s inaugural season opens June 2013.
