In “Dodging Bullets: How to Be a Strong Christian Teen in the World We Live In” (published by WestBow Press), author Stephanie Fusco’s new religious novel, readers learn how to stand strong as a Christian teen.
“I hope this book shows my readers how to have self-confidence, self-respect and a closer relationship to God,” says Fusco. “I want them to be able to lean on him when they find themselves in difficult situations.”
Using life lessons and helpful, upbeat phrases, Fusco shines a light on teenage life that only a teenager can. She looks at teen anxiety, loneliness, harassment and everything in between as she takes readers through a 68 page motivational ride. Each chapter looks at a different emotion teens face, and presents different ways on how to overcome the hurdles life throws at teenagers.
“It is hard to deal with all the emotions teenagers deal with,” she says. “Adults always say how they understand, but to teens, it’s easier to hear another teen say how they got through, so join me and learn how.”
An excerpt from “Dodging Bullets”:
“No one said life was gonna be easy. And if they did they were lying or they are psychotic. Life is not easy. That’s the truth. I know your probably thinking at this point, ‘What could a teenage, home-schooled girl know about life and the difficulties it comes with?’ Hah. I may not know much about life, but I know this; Everything happens for a reason.”
