StorageMart announced today that the company is extending the “Draw My Favorite Teacher” contest to Oakland, California. The company previously invited 39 Brooklyn, NY public schools participate in the contest. Today, the company opened the same opportunity to 18 public schools surrounding the company’s Oakland, CA self storage facilities. In addition to selecting a grand prize winner in Brooklyn, NY, StorageMart will award one grand prize winner and three runners in Oakland, CA.

To enter, StorageMart sent schools an entry kit containing “Draw My Favorite Teacher” drawing pages. Students at the school will draw their favorite teacher and schools will return the entries by November 1, 2012. The self storage company included a postage-paid box for return shipping.
The company will narrow down finalists to the top four drawings in Oakland, CA, to be published to the StorageMart Gives Facebook page. The grand prize winner will be selected by majority vote. The finalist with the most votes will be awarded the Grand Prize, and the three remaining finalists will receive the Runners Up prize. Voting will be open from November 5-18, 2012.
StorageMart will announce the winners on Monday, November 19, 2012. Prizes will be awarded the week of November 26, 2012.
