The Street Basketball Association Looks to Change the Game; The Preeminent Street Ball Entity Will Take the Lead

The Street Basketball Association takes the lead in organizing the street ball industry. The SBA will create a sanctioning body and set business standards across the industry.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) October 30, 2008 -- As the leading entity in the street ball industry, the Street Basketball Association, LLC (SBA) has decided to organize the industry in a manner that fortifies and grows the entertainment brand. The SBA will call on other active organizations to form a "sanctioning body" to ensure the industry expands rather than dries up due to lack of organization. The overall goal in organizing the street ball industry is to make street ball a viable, global entertainment option.

"We decided to take the lead in organizing the industry in which we have been the leader for many years," says Jerrod Mustaf, SBA Founder and CEO. "While others have come and gone, we have been steady from the beginning of this amazing street ball ride. We have traveled throughout the United States, creating goodwill and entertainment, while working with some of the largest corporations, including Coca-Cola, Nike, NBA, and Cingular. As the leader in the industry we have been able to introduce street ball to Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.

The competition amongst street ball companies must cease if we in the industry intend to thrive. As leader of the sanctioning body for the street ball industry, the SBA will fight to eliminate competitive negotiations that lead to under-pricing and reduced value for players and services. The SBA will also look to form an official player's union that will ensure fair practices and standard operations throughout the industry," explains Mustaf.

Selected street ball companies will be invited to a conference to be held in Washington, DC in early December, to participate in a forum about the new direction of the street ball industry. Persons requiring additional conference information should contact the SBA.

"We feel this is the direction we must go in order to validate our industry. For those organizations that want to go at it alone, good luck, but it will be difficult to succeed when others band together in an effort to streamline pricing and strengthen player rights," states Mustaf.
