Tickets Now on Sale for the Summit Cup -- Yorkshire's Premier Polo Tournament

Tickets are now on sale for the most eagerly anticipated tournament of the Yorkshire polo season - the Summit Polo Cup 2008.

North Cliffe, UK (PRWEB) May 31, 2008 -- The two-day polo extravaganza, which is White Rose Polo Club's flagship tournament, will take place on the weekend of 14 and 15 June. Last year's event proved hugely popular and the high quality of the polo provided thrilling entertainment for the large crowd of spectators in attendance.

We're extremely excited about this year's Summit Cup and keen to build on the huge success of last year's event. Guests at both the Arabian Nights party and the VIP lunch are sure to have a fantastic time in really beautiful surroundings. If the standard of the polo is anything like last year, our spectators will also be able to enjoy some really fast and furious end-to-end matches.
Sponsored by Summit Media, (www.summit.co.uk) the tournament will be held at Townend Farm at North Cliffe in East Yorkshire, which is the home of both White Rose Polo Club and Summit Media (Yorkshire's largest digital media company). It will see teams from as far afield as Scotland battle it out against local sides, including the Summit team and last year's victors Beverley Polo Club.

On the Saturday (14 June), the day's festivities will be rounded off with an Arabian Nights-themed polo party in a marquee transformed into a setting reminiscent of a scene from the pages of 1001 Arabian Nights. For £50 per person, guests will be able to enjoy musical entertainment from Pop Idol finalist Kirsty Crawford. There will also be delicious food and fun activities, such as belly dancing, snake charming and camel racing, in keeping with the magical 'Arabian Nights' theme.

Tickets for the Finals Day VIP gourmet luncheon on Sunday 15 June are priced at £60 per person and include champagne and canapés; lunch with wine; and afternoon tea and cakes. Guests will be seated in a beautifully decorated marquee positioned alongside the polo field to ensure that they have a fantastic view of the action. As the event coincides with Father's Day, it provides a fantastic opportunity for people to treat all those hard-working dads. Anyone who books a table of ten will receive one place free of charge.

Tickets for both of these events are expected to sell quickly, so anyone keen to attend is advised to book quickly to avoid disappointment. Telephone 01430 875767 or email Claudia@whiterosepolo.co.uk to book your places.
