Symmetry Corporation Attains SAS 70 Type II Certification for SAP Managed Services

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70), is an internationally recognized auditing standard which discloses the control processes a service organization uses to handle its clients' critical data.

Demand for SAS 70 certified service providers has increased since the passing of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act in 2002. External auditors often require publicly traded organizations to show SAS 70 certification reports for outsourced service providers. Although not a requirement, the certification also provides peace of mind for privately held organizations.
