This new campaign reflects Taiwan's effort to increase its exposure and consumer recognition to potential tourists via prominent international media outlets. The advertisements emphasize such tourist highlights as Taiwan's rich culture, natural beauty and famous cuisine.

The CNN campaign follows last year's announcement of a special promotion, "I Land" Paradise, designed to make visiting the "Beautiful Island" more affordable and enjoyable to travelers heading to Asia from October 1, 2007 to December 31, 2008. The promotion offers a special discounted rate of US $79 per room per night, for a maximum of two nights, including breakfast at participating hotels. Hotel rooms can also be upgraded at certain participating hotels at a rate of US $119 per room night including breakfast, tax and hotel service charge.

Travelers can consult participating travel agents to obtain a list of hotels included in the "I Land” Paradise promotion. Visit website for additional information at: www.Go2Taiwan.net.

Known as the "Beautiful Island," Taiwan welcomes travelers to Asia with its ultra-modern capital city of Taipei, featuring the world's tallest building and most authentic Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine available. Taiwan's modern urban appeal is contrasted by beautiful, unspoiled landscapes that reveal breathtaking coastal and mountain terrain, sea and river terraces, hot springs, and aboriginal cultures.
