Tallinn's Recognition as Top Ten Travel City Welcomed by KC Grupp

Estonia's capital city Tallinn has been named a top ten travel city by the UK travel magazine and Web portal Wanderlust. Tallinn was named the number 10 best travel city among more than 600 cities. Margus Reinsalu, an Estonian businessman and owner of investment company KC Grupp, is thrilled by his country's recognition.

Tallinn, Estonia (PRWEB) May 12, 2009 -- United Kingdom travel magazine and Web portal Wanderlust has voted Tallinn the tenth favourite travel city among more than 600 cities worldwide. Estonian entrepreneur and owner of investment company KC Grupp, Margus Reinsalu, who does business in Estonia as well as in other countries of the world, welcomes such an acknowledgement.

The fact that Tallinn was chosen to be in the top ten is especially delightful considering the fact that the World Business Forum placed Estonia 27th among 133 countries as regards tourism competition.

The UK's travel magazine for independent-minded and adventurous travellers asked its readers to assess their satisfaction with travels from September 2007 to November 2008.

Countries with the highest rating were Japan, Namibia and New Zealand. This list ended with Algeria, which gained the satisfaction of only a quarter of its visitors. No European countries reached the top ten.

As for cities, the travellers were most satisfied with Antigua (Guatemala), Kyoto (Japan), Boston (USA), Kraków (Poland), Havana (Cuba), Damascus (Syria), Luang Prabang (Laos), Cuzco (Peru), Sydney (Australia) and Tallinn (Estonia). The satisfaction index of Tallinn was as high as 91.43 percent. The least satisfactory cities were Karachi in Pakistan and the capital of Papua New Guinea, Port Moresby.

The fact that Tallinn was chosen to be in the top ten is especially delightful to Reinsalu, considering the fact that the World Business Forum placed Estonia 27th among 133 countries as regards tourism competition. The only new member of the European Union with a higher rating is Cyprus, holding 21st place.

Margus Reinsalu's business partner Sean Cusack from Property Logic, which is one of the leading global real estate development companies with luxury resort projects in Morocco and Brazil, believes that this success is very valuable: "I am happy that Estonia's capital Tallinn is valued not only among foreign investors but also among tourists. This is a great honour and I am more that convinced that Estonia cannot be a disappointment for anybody."
