TattooFinder.com Unveils Hottest Inked Footage and Saucy 2009 Calendars

The official video of TattooFinder.com's Hottest Inked contest and Denver Tattoo Convention kick-off hits computer screens just as the company announces the release of the 2009 Hottest Inked calendars. TattooFinder celebrates with a calendar party, featuring signings and Sharpie tattoos, set for November 20.

DENVER, CO (PRWEB) November 7, 2008 -- It's a big week for those who love scantily clad tattoo canvas. The official video recap of the recent Hottest Inked party and contest, produced in September by Denver-based company TattooFinder.com, is being released today on www.Hottest-Inked.com, Youtube.com and the Internet at large. The video, edited by the videography duo Lockerpartners, should also warm some engines for the Hottest Inked calendar release party, just announced for November 20 at Lure Lounge, 1434 Blake Street in Denver. The TattooFinder event will feature calendar signings, drink specials and Sharpie tattoos from some of Denver's leading artists. Through Hottest Inked, the company celebrates those who have kept the tattoo industry thriving -- the artists who create tattoo-friendly artwork and the tempting bodies that wear it.

The Hottest Inked video captures the party atmosphere and scores of inked bodies that rallied to open the Denver Tattoo Convention: Museum of Skin (DTC) this September. The promotional efforts also centered on the release of the new Tattoo Sourcebook, the company's first publishing effort with HarperCollins and Barnes & Noble. A compendium of nearly 2,000 images of all sizes and styles, it's the largest collection of high-quality tattoo artwork ever published in book format. And, in addition to amping up Sourcebook promotions and convention antics, Hottest Inked was able to raise $2,260 for ArtReach, Denver's leading educational non-profit working to connect the cultural arts with underserved communities. TattooFinder.com, the Denver-based leader in online single tattoo design sales, organized the event with major sponsors Beta Nightclub, Out Front Colorado and DTC organizers Phantom 8 Tattoo -- all of whom were excited to raise awareness for ArtReach and celebrate the body as a living canvas.

Hottest Inked contestants entered to win cash prizes and a photo shoot for December's issue of Inked Magazine, as well as a spot in the Hottest Inked 2009 calendars, to be released November 20. Industry celebrity judges -- including Lyle Tuttle, "The forefather of modern tattooing," and New York's couture celebrity tattooist Friday Jones -- evaluated each contestant for coverage, craftsmanship and body aesthetics, ultimately choosing 24 men and women to flaunt their work for Denver-based photographer Katie Andelman (pinxitphotography.com). The first place Hottest Inked gentleman, Joe Salomon, and lady, Heather Angeli, will grace each calendar cover, in addition to having their photos inside. Gentlemen runners-up and calendar finalists include: Estevan Garner, Jason Hays, Aaron Ajax, Jonny Spradling, Shae Gipson, Eric Green (sponsored by Boyztown), Paul Moschell, Joey Seger, Zakk Cargin, Joe Miller and James Maldonado. Hottest Inked ladies include: Hillary Leftwich, Monica Robles, Kelsey Gallogly, Jessica Flowers, Nazla Guidry, Jade Burnelt, Darcey Hershelman, Sandi Calistro, Lauren Boylan, Natasza Mizera and Nicole Valdez. This year's finalists include students, professionals, leading local tattooists and piercers, members of the Denver Roller Dolls, parents, a hairstylist, fashion designer, ballerina and even a horse-shoer. Both calendars will be available for purchase through the TattooFinder.com website following the release party.

TattooFinder plans to recreate the party and contest in other ways, celebrating the craft of tattooing through Hottest Inked fashion shows, art gallery exhibitions and, possibly, at music festivals. "Hottest Inked has generated a lot of excitement around tattoos and the collectors who wear them," says Lou Bardach, TattooFinder.com CEO. "It's a great way for us to show our appreciation and admiration for the flash artists, tattooists and tattoo enthusiasts that have made this industry what it is today -- a successful and beautiful way to express an artistic gift."
