After much anticipation, Director John LaTier released the official poster of “The Tell-Tale Heart” on his Twitter and Facebook pages Monday morning in honor of Peter Bogdanovich’s birthday, who plays the iconic old man. The upcoming film, inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s short story of the same name, also stars Patrick John Flueger (Footloose) and Rose McGowan (Charmed).
Comic book illustrator Rob Prior (Marvel, D.C., Image Comics) drew the poster, which depicts the three main characters in his photo-realistic style. In addition to being a notable comic book artist (“Spawn,” “Terminator”), Prior is also a leading storyboard artist (Budweiser, Nikon, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Terminator 3”) and illustrator (“Dungeons and Dragons”).
The “The Tell-Tale Heart” also announced a sweepstakes, where one lucky winner will be immortalized as a background character in accompanying artwork Rob Prior will be drawing for the film.
“We hope the release of this poster will delight our incredible fans, who have been patiently waiting for updates and a trailer from our film,” says LaTier. “We are in post production now, and though I cannot give away too many details yet, this poster and sweepstakes are leading up to a bigger announcement in just a few short weeks.”
Entry to the sweepstakes can be found on the film’s official Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/TellTaleHeartTheMovie. Entrance into the sweepstakes is simple and no purchase is necessary. Please see the official rules for additional details.
The sweepstakes ends Sept. 30, 2012 at 10 a.m. CST. One grand prizewinner will be chosen at random from all entries received.
The literary thriller, which was filmed in New Orleans, La, is set for a 2013 debut.
