Long Beach, California (PRWEB) September 13, 2012
The Style Institute, the industry’s leading online personal stylist training and coaching program, today announced that Karen Brunger has joined the company as chief stylist. Brunger comes to The Style Institute with more than 28 years of industry experience, most recently as founder and president of the International Image Institute Inc., Toronto, an international image consulting firm with systems and products in over 65 countries.
Brunger joins The Style Institute at a time when personal stylists are playing increasingly significant roles for both retailers and consumers. Personal stylists help individuals enhance their appearance and gain confidence to better recognize their full potential and accomplish their goals. The Style Institute trains and certifies personal stylists in fashion design, body shape analysis, color analysis, wardrobe assessment and management, client acquisition/retention and financial management. At The Style Institute, Brunger will be responsible for online personal stylist training courses, development of new modules and personal coaching of the institute’s students. Brunger will spearhead expanding the content and training of The Style Institute courses to cover additional markets.
"Karen’s extensive image consulting experience and in-depth industry knowledge will greatly benefit The Style Institute’s ability to expand program offerings and help our community of trained stylists achieve their professional and business goals,” said Terri Ghio, CEO of The Style Institute. "With Karen on board, I am looking forward to bringing top-notch training to an even broader audience of professional personal stylists.”
“I am looking forward to joining The Style Institute with its cutting edge online interactive courses,” said Karen Brunger. “In all my experience of image consulting, this is the first truly online education program where I feel confident it will make a difference in the stylists and their clients’ achievements. The progressive grading, the live experts forum, and the Stylist Collective which provides ongoing support in building the business for participant stylists – are all part of what makes the Style Institute a new formula for success.”
Brunger is a recipient of the International Award of Excellence and was Who’s Who Canadian of the Year for 2009. She is past president of both AICI International, and AICI Canada chapter. Brunger also served as AICI’s International VP Education for four years, where she was responsible for the standards of image training worldwide.
