San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) October 31, 2012
The 71 million persons worldwide caring for over 35 persons with Alzheimer’s now have access to research based information and resources, thanks to the launch of The Alzheimer’s Caregiver™ a new online subscription service series. The Alzheimer’s Caregiver™ translates the most current scientific and clinical Alzheimer “Care” research, in both English and Spanish, into a language and format that family and professional caregivers can put to use. Using internet based technologies, The Alzheimer’s Caregiver™ is an educational program that is interactive and easy to understand, access, and navigate. The new Tracking Program for The Professional Caregiver of The Alzheimer’s Caregiver™ is slated for release on November 1, 2012.
The Alzheimer’s Caregiver™ online training programs automatically track each participant’s progress advancing through the program. The Values of tracking reports are that it allows one to evaluate the individual progress of staff members. The reports can be run for as many times as is appropriate for the system. Moreover, these reports provide excellent documentation for the facility and for surveyors says Geriatrician Deborah Fetherston, MD.
The purchaser of The Alzheimer’s Caregiver™, will have access to an Administrative Tracking report with the following information for each person completing the program: (i) name of person taking training, (ii) number of modules started (Modules started, but not completed, have a red "X" next to them), (iii) number of modules completed (Modules completed have green check marks next to them), (iv) Date the person last accessed the training (by module), (v) number (and percentage) of screens completed in each module, and (vi) the required (and actual) time the user has spent on each module.
In order to get a green check mark for a given module, the person much visit all screens in the module (e.g., 24 out of 24) and meet the minimum time required (e.g., 55 minutes). Vitally, the tracking system automatically stops tracking the user if more than 3 minutes passes without any program usage. This ensures that someone who is called away for a phone call or care need is not continually tracked.
Whether an individual, a single facility, or a national chain, subscribing to The Alzheimer’s Caregiver™ Program is both easy and affordable. There is Unlimited-User Pricing. The unlimited-user pricing for facilities means that one person or the entire staff can be trainrd at any one physical location for one low annual price. If the organization has more than one facility (e.g., one assisted living facility, two nursing homes, etc.), each location using The Alzheimer’s Caregiver™ needs to purchase a separate license for each facility
The Alzheimer’s Caregiver™ is dedicated to promoting, enhancing and providing a meaningful quality of life for persons with Alzheimer’s and other related dementias. It is funded through numerous competitive grants from the National Institute of Health in Washington DC. , a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and is the primary Federal agency for conducting and supporting medical and nursing research.
