The Oliver Group, a leadership consulting firm, is delivering team buildling course designed for long term and other healthcare executives on June 12, in collaboration with the Greater Cincinnati Health Council.

The course will be facilitated by Mark Mueller, a consultant, trainer and certified coach for The Oliver Group at the Greater Cincinnati Health Council headquarters on 2100 Sherman Ave. The course will be from 8 to 11:45 a.m. and will offer professionals 3 continuing education units (CEU) from the Ohio Department of Aging's Board of Executives of Long-term Services & Supports (BELTSS). According to Mary Duffey, vice president, member services and programs at the Greater Cincinnati Health Council, "team building, particularly multidisciplinary, is a way to engage healthcare employees to achieve stronger outcomes. This offering will not only strengthen leaders at our regional healthcare facilities, it will also offer valuable recertification credits to our members."

The Oliver Group has been a member of the Greater Cincinnati Health Council since August 2013 and offered a full-day leadership development course with the council in January 2014. Since then, The Oliver Group has become a Council Contract Partner with the Greater Cincinnati Health Council, with the two entities forming a purchasing agreement.

Mark Mueller, facilitator and experienced executive coach, will cover individual differences and team development topics with the participants, many of whom are bringing multiple team members to experience the program. All participants are completing a Predictive Index assessment prior to the course, which is a scientific tool that helps identify motivating factors in individuals and differences within teams. "We'll uncover many of the issues that teams face and address those to help strengthen the organizations represented at this training. With team building training, organizations can cut back on conflict and significantly improve performance," said Mueller.
