Santa Ana, Calif. (Vocus/PRWEB ) August 24, 2009 -- The Moote Group - a full service land management firm serving California, Nevada, Arizona and more - recently announced the promotion of Syl Egan from senior project manager to senior residential estimator.
Egan's new responsibilities as senior residential estimator include creating all estimates for vertical (or building) construction in order to augment specific projects.
As senior project manger for the The Moote Group over the last four years, he was active in field operations, project management, cost-to-complete scenarios for various projects and was involved in several litigation support cases with the expert witness and litigation support team at the firm.
For more than 37 years, Egan has held executive-level positions at some of the top building companies located in California and Colorado. His vast experience includes project feasibility, budget formulation and administration, purchasing and contracts, all field construction, warranty and management.
Over the course of his career, he worked for Mission Viejo Company in Colorado as general superintendent/VP of operations/construction manager, Greystone Homes/ Lennar Homes Company as vice president of operations, Catellus Residential group as senior vice president of operations, Sea Country Homes as vice president of construction operations and Alexander Communities as vice president of construction operations.
He received his bachelor's degree from Huron University in South Dakota and holds a California Contractor's license. He is currently a member of Forensic Expert Witness Association (FEWA) and the Building Industry Association (BIA).
