Get ready for the glamour! It’s award season, beautynistas! BeautyStat.com -- the leading online beauty community for skincare reviews and makeup reviews -- highlighted some of the best hairstyle trends and makeup trends from the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Step-by-step instructions from makeup artists and hairstylists such as Lorenzo Martin and Jillian Dempsey let BeautyStat know how to easily recreate the looks at home with the help of L’Oréal Paris, Vidal Sassoon, Makeup Up For Ever and Yves Saint Laurent products.
The fashion runway trends always make a debut on the red carpet! This year’s Golden Globes saw bountiful and downright gorgeous hair, reminiscent of Old Hollywood glam with a modern twist. Rachel Weisz and Jennifer Lopez gave a nod to the glamazons of the 1930s with a deep-sided part and soft, cascading waves to one side. Vidal Sassoon hair products made it easy to capture the long, effortless hair of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Rosario Dawson -- taking a more modern and chic approach.
The Golden Globes also saw brown, smoky eyes and berry-stained lips. Hunger Games star (and winner for Best Actress in a Comedy/Musical) Jennifer Lawrence rocked the smoky eye look with brown, gold and coffee shades thanks to L’Oréal Paris. Her look was completed with a healthy flush of color on the cheeks and nude pink lips. Zero Dark Thirty actress and nominee Jessica Chastain left it light on the eyes with soft caramel shades. Her luminous skin was put on display thanks to a vibrant berry color using L’Oréal Paris Colour Caresse Shine Stain on the lips. Quite a night of beauty and on-trend looks.
There’s a lot more glamour where that came from! To find out how to create the rest of the hair and makeup looks, go to BeautyStat.com!
