Girl Power Textathon Fundraiser Promotion

The Girl Power Movie Project inspired by pop singing sensation, The Spice Girls, holds virtual fundraiser—Girl Power Textathon, on Facebook and Twitter. The event features Text-To-Win prizes from Pop-Culture Icons such as The Simpsons and Michael Jackson. The Textathon event is a girl powered fundraiser that will last from August 27th to August31st.

The team behind the project, Rage Ink, believes the Textathon will reflect the themes of the Girl Power Movie Project that focuses on empowering a group of diverse young women by bringing them together to inspire other young women to believe in themselves and realize their dreams.

Here Is How The Textathon Works —
Participants Text GPower to 20222 & reply yes to make a $10 donation in order to enter to win. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Women's Media Center, The Niapele Project, & Girls Inc. (Los Angeles), the latter of which, First Lady Michelle Obama is the Honorary Board Chair. From August 27th to August 31st, entrants can enter to win prizes such as a Season Pass To The World Famous Roxy Theatre on Sunset Blvd., iPod Nano and Gift Cards.
