Shelby Township, MI (PRWEB) May 02, 2014

Cheerleading Training Center of Michigan’s two top Trilogy all star cheer teams of Shelby Township, Michigan are celebrating their recent UCA all star international win and placement. The Trilogy Large Junior Level 2 and Senior 4 Coed Small Level 4 teams both coached by Angela & Steve Goralski and Kate Caliguiri recently competed in the UCA International competition at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios and ESPN Sports Center in Orlando, Florida on March 15th & 16th, 2014.

The Trilogy Junior 2 team consisting of 23 all-star athletes competed during the two-day competition and took first place in the Junior 2 Large division against teams from Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Columbia, and the United States. Trilogy’s Senior 4 Coed team, consisting of 18 athletes also competed both days and won second place in the Senior 4 Coed division. Almost scoring a near perfect score, the Junior 2 team also won the overall grand champion award against 161 other teams.

“Winning UCA was a another great addition to our long list of ORIGINALS!” says coach and gym owner Angela Goralski. “We are the first team in Michigan to win the UCA International All Star Championship & to be crowned grand champions out of 161 teams was just the icing on the cake. Our Senior 4 Coed team also had a great weekend finishing with a silver medal just 0.02 points away from winning first place. Our athletes have been driven all year and worked so hard to achieve their goals. The coaching staff is proud of all of them. All efforts have paid off. We look forward to what the future holds for these amazing athletes!”

Trilogy’s first place winners received gold medals, International Champions UCA branded jackets, a trophy, and a banner for their gym. Their second place winners also received a trophy, and silver medals for each athlete.

Continuing their undefeated success, both Trilogy teams competed at American Cheer Power Competition in Columbus, Ohio March 29 -30, 2014. This was the last competition to qualify for a full paid bid to The Summit which is a high caliber event created to recognize teams in the non-world divisions including those in youth, junior, and senior divisions. It’s an invite only competition to be held at the ESPN Sports Center in Orlando, Florida May 3-4, 2014. At American Cheer Power, both the Trilogy Junior 2 and Senior 4 Coed teams won first place and Trilogy won overall grand champions. Both teams were awarded a banner, a team trophy, championship varsity jackets, gold medals, and championship rings.

With only three full paid bids to The Summit available out of nearly 500 teams, both Junior 2 and Senior 4 Coed won two out of the three with their near perfect scores. The full paid bid allows each athlete, of both Trilogy teams, an open invite to compete against the world’s top 10% of all star cheer teams, including free hotel accommodations and registrations fees to the competition in Orlando Florida at the ESPN Sports Center. On May 3, 2014, this local cheer gym will be taking their two winning teams back to Orlando, Florida to complete their undefeated season.
