TrueChild Hosts True Flavors Celebrity Cook-Off in San Francisco
Local Bravo Top Chefs team up with TrueChild to help children
San Francisco, CA (Vocus/PRWEB ) October 16, 2009 -- TrueChild, a national organization helping all children--boys and girls--break through stereotypes so they can be true to themselves and reach their full potential, will host the "True Flavors Celebrity Cook-Off" at the Ferry Building from 6-9 p.m. on October 24, 2009 emceed by Top Chef's Ryan Scott.
This year, Bravo's Top Chef's, Tiffani Faison, Jamie Lauren and Casey Thompson, will face off against Top Chef Master, Elizabeth Falkner. Each chef will have 35 minutes to make a three course meal with secret ingredients they will only learn of moments before the contest.
In addition to the celebrity cooking competition, the evening will feature raffles, a live auction, as well as a reception prior to the event.

Featuring a face-off between Top Chefs:
Elizabeth Falkner is a Top Chef Master. Elizabeth is the owner and Executive Pastry Chef at Citizen Cake. She is also the Executive Chef and co-owner of Orson. Both Citizen Cake and Orson are located in San Francisco.
Tiffani Faison placed second on the first season of Top Chef. Currently, Tiffani is a Sous Chef at O Ya, a well-known Japanese restaurant in Boston.
Casey Thompson was a runner-up on Top Chef Season 3. Casey is currently doing personal appearances and arranging private events at wineries in Napa Valley.
Jamie Lauren was a contestant on Top Chef Season 5. Jamie now works as the Executive Chef at the renowned Absinthe in San Francisco.

Ryan Scott was a contestant on Top Chef Season 4. Ryan joined Mission Beach Café in San Francisco in 2008 and is currently developing his new Private Chef and Catering Company.
