Author & Novelist Norma Jean Lutz of Tulsa is Re-Releasing her Tulsa Series

When my editor at Barbour Publishing told me they were looking for historical fiction,” she added, “I knew immediately that I would write a series of books about the Tulsa race riot.

Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) August 10, 2012

In the 1990s ,veteran novelist, Norma Jean Lutz authored a 4-book series set against the backdrop of the 1921 Tulsa Race Riot. When asked how she happened to choose that volatile setting, she said, “I had heard about the infamous Tulsa race riot when I first moved to Tulsa as a young married. The incident had always fascinated me.

“When my editor at Barbour Publishing told me they were looking for historical fiction,” she added, “I knew immediately that I would write a series of books about the Tulsa race riot. Not only was I interested in this local historical event, I was also fascinated with the era of the twenties. It was a revolutionary time in America’s history.”

Once this author of over 50 published titles made the decision to write the series, she relates that she sat up late one night scribbling notes and within a few hours had outlined thumbnail sketches for all four titles in the series. After looking them over, her editor contracted for all four. Says Norma Jean, “That began an incredible journey for me back into Tulsa history.”

The four-title series includes:
Tulsa Tempest
Tulsa Turning
Tulsa Trespass
Return to Tulsa

At their first release in the 1990s, the Tulsa series received a wide acceptance in both the Christian markets and general markets as well. One reviewer stated about Tulsa Tempest:

A definite page-turner in every sense! It's a great historical read that is entwined with a sweet romance. ~ Romance Reader at Heart

Says Norma Jean, “Many satisfied readers loved Tessa when the books were first published in the 90s; I’m confident legions of new readers will feel the same way.”

Tulsa Tempest is now re-released and can be downloaded on your favorite e-reader.
