WhichPoker.com Figures Show PokerStars to be Biggest Online Poker Room in the World Since Signing of UIGEA

Figures released by Whichpoker.com recently show that since the signing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) PokerStars is not only the world's largest tournament online poker room but is also the world's largest cash game online poker room.

(PRWEB) December 23, 2006 -- Figures released by Whichpoker.com recently show that since the signing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) PokerStars is not only the world's largest tournament online poker room but is also the world's largest cash game online poker room.

Using real money cash game player figures PokerStars daily player numbers have increased from around 6,500 to around 8,500, an increase of approximately 31%, while their peak numbers are approaching 13,500 compared to around 10,000 prior to the UIGEA.

The decision by PokerStars to continue accepting players from the U.S. means that they have now swapped places with PartyPoker as the world's biggest online poker room as U.S. players look for somewhere else to play.

"PokerStars believes that poker is a game of skill enjoyed by millions of players and we remain committed to providing you a safe and fun environment in which to play," quotes the PokerStars website

It's a tribute to PokerStars that the majority of U.S. players left without a poker room to play at have migrated to them. PokerStars has always been the tournament poker room of choice with exciting and innovative tournaments, from WPT, EPT and WSOP qualifiers to their own World Championship of Online Poker and World Cup of Poker.

They have now upped the ante in their cash game offering by including Seven Card Stud, Razz, Five Card Draw, Triple Draw and the WSOP favourite HORSE to the standard cash games of Texas Holdem and Omaha. PokerStars has also made progress in Europe by introducing German language support and plans to add more languages in the near future.

This great game selection, with games available to players of all skills and bankrolls, is why PokerStars are now the biggest online poker room in the world.
