Artist Discovers What Cats Have Known For Ages
Glass artist Joy Day created what was to be a gorgeous molded glass decorative bowl, but her cats had other plans for it. After setting the first art bowl down for only seconds, she turned to find one of her cats in it, already pretending to be asleep. She has stumbled upon what her cats claim is the best cat bed in the world.
Carmel Valley, CA (PRWEB) November 26, 2008 -- What started out as an art piece has quickly become the hottest new must-have luxury bed for the pampered cat. Of course, this is old news for cats, who have for generations been found sleeping in bowls and sinks. Miss Day takes that into account and has developed MyCatsCradle beds to be perfectly sized and shaped for even larger sized cats, who love to play, roll around, and then curl up and sleep. And when the cat isn't taking a nap, the bed is a beautiful art addition to any home on it's own.
But what makes them unique? The beds are a very thick cast glass, using a special technique that Miss Day developed using the glass itself to splash colors throughout the bowl. The interior shape is designed to best cradle the cat, while the exterior is designed to provide stability and safety for the cat and it's family. Miss Day stated, "Even with how rambunctious these cats are, the beds are safe. Mixing my passion for my art with my love for cats makes these beds even more special." These beds truly are works of art - each taking at least 6 full days to cast, mold, hand-polish and then, of course, pass the strenuous kitty inspection and approval process.
