We hope you will make the Gingerbread Man 10k/5k Dash a holiday tradition--one that lets you have fun while contributing to those who are less fortunate.

This holiday season, Jacksonville area residents can give back while doing something FUN! Look no further than St. Augustine, Florida and the 6th Annual Gingerbread Man 10k/5k Dash and Subway KidsRunJax event on Saturday, December 3rd at World Golf Village.

The Gingerbread Man Dash, organized by Ultimate Racing, is the perfect way for you and your family to start the holiday fun in a healthy way and give to the less fortunate.

All 10k/5k participants receive a medal, a great Tee, an authentic homemade gingerbread man cookie and sweets, eats and treats included with their registration fee. Holiday socks, hats and general candy cane striped attire are encouraged. Lots of fun activities are planned as well!

Runners, walkers, strollers and even pets are invited to join in the fun on a lovely, safe course through World Golf Village with “Gingy” who taunts “Catch me if you can!” As we mentioned, yes, your 4-legged friends are definitely welcome! Dog treats are provided for all furry finishers!

Organizers encourage participants to bring one (or more) new, unwrapped toys to donate to local children in need through the Pediatric Cancer Family Foundation. When you donate, you’ll be entered to win some great giveaways. You will receive one entry per toy.

If you attend one of the local schools, Pacetti Middle, Ward’s Creek or Mill Creek Elementary, funds will be donated back to your school when you join your schools team during the online registration process. Catholic Cross Country teams are also encouraged to do the same and funds will go to XC teams on the First Coast. There will even be fun activities on site that will help local folks including Ainsley’s Angels of Jax and an elementary school group raising money for Delaney, a classmate recently diagnosed with leukemia.

"This time of year, we see plenty of ways to give to those around us," explained Angi Palmieri, Adventure Director at Ultimate Racing. "We hope you will make the Gingerbread Man 10k/5k Dash a holiday tradition--one that lets you have fun while contributing to those who are less fortunate."
