Sports coaches across the country are already starved for time. Staying up to speed on the latest coaching research and how to apply it to their own team is challenging. Well, it just got much easier with the release of The Ultimate Coach handbook. This valuable coaching handbook, written by 4x Olympian and Sports Consultant Bo Hanson, covers what great coaches get right and the top 7 strategies they have mastered.

“My aim in writing The Ultimate Coach was to provide busy coaches with direct and useful information about how they can continue to improve. The handbook gets straight to the heart of coaching and is practical.” Hanson says.

“No coach I know has time to spend reading pages and pages of scientific or psychological research to then get to the end and find the research provides no practical strategies to make a difference to them personally. So this is what we’ve overcome to develop this handbook. We’ve taken the latest research, case studies and coaching experiences of the top coaches and made it an easy read for coaches of all levels. Importantly it also provides practical solutions to many of the coaching challenges.”

When you read The Ultimate Coach, you may be surprised by what the latest research is telling us about coaching and top sporting performance. Many of the more traditional coaching methods prove to be ineffective in sport today and particularly working with the current generation of athletes. If you’re experiencing any challenges with your athletes, you’ll very likely find the answers in this handbook.

Hanson says, “The Ultimate Coach also draws on important research from business and leadership. There are many concepts from business that sport can benefit and vice versa. I wanted to also ensure that coaches were up to speed on those aspects from business that would contribute to their sporting success.”

Mr Hanson knows all about the parallels between sport and business. He had focused on corporate consulting for over a decade following his 15-year rowing career, competing at 4 Olympics and winning 3 medals. A number of years ago he answered the call and returned back to sport. With the company, Athlete Assessments, he now spends his time consulting with coaches and team management in his home country of Australia, in the United States and internationally.

The Ultimate Coach handbook contains seven chapters, each dedicated to a key coaching strategy the best coaches have mastered. It also includes three bonus chapters which cover topics including emotional intelligence in sport and sport psychology for coaches. It was released today and for a limited time, it is available to be downloaded for free from The Ultimate Coach Handbook New Release.
