Home of the US Naval Academy, a beautiful downtown area, and close to the national capital, Annapolis provides guests of Vacation Fulfillment with a variety of entertainment options.

The beautiful waterfront in Annapolis is the perfect place for a picnic and some vacation planning. As the leaves begin to turn in fall and the temperatures start dropping, Annapolis is gearing up for a few exciting events. Vacation Fulfillment encourages travelers to enjoy the Annapolis area this fall.

1.    Oktoberfest – Everyone can be German for a day at the West Annapolis Oktoberfest, held on the afternoon of September 27th on the streets of West Annapolis. As one of Annapolis’ most notable street fairs, this event features live music and dancing, arts and crafts vendors featuring German-inspired products and a KidZone. One of the biggest draws for this street festival is the authentic and delicious German food. From schnitzel to brochen and pretzels to wurst, the traditional festival food from Germany puts the final touches on this fantastic festival.

2.    Renaissance Festival – Maryland’s Renaissance Festival extends into September and makes for a wonderful activity for families, locals, and tourists alike. This recreation of a 16th century English village is breathtaking in its authenticity. Revel Grove, is set on a beautiful 25-acre wooded site with 85 acres of free parking. The village includes craft and food booths, five pubs, ten stages for entertainment, and a Jousting Area for period-inspired games. The day begins at 9:45 with the King’s Welcome and then the gates open at 10am. Located just outside of Annapolis, this could easily be a multi-day event.

3.    Navy Football – On October 3rd, the Navy Midshipmen play host to the Air Force Falcons. Vacation Fulfillment knows that Navy Football is riddled with tradition, and Annapolis loves their Midshipmen. The city opens her arms each summer as a new group of students arrive in town and the stands at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium are always packed with locals, alumni, and football fans. The 2013 match-up between Air Force and Navy, while not as widely followed as the Army Navy game, set the record attendance with over 38,000 people in attendance. This is a great way to experience the US Naval Academy.

Vacation Fulfillment is ready to help visitors discover the rich heritage and history of this Maryland city. For more information on these great events and assistance with other travel planning needs, contact Vacation Fulfillment today.
