Although operations have expanded significantly over the years, the business is still a home-based one, allowing Chandler to belong to the growing number of home-based and telecommuting workers, which in turn gives her the opportunity to spend time with her three sons during the workday.
"Thanks to the Internet, I can be home with my kids and work," she says. "There are a lot of opportunities for moms to work from home. There is never a dull moment, but it works because I get to spend time with my kids and build a fun business."
The popularity of online ecards has increased as more and more people begin to do more of their business, including paying bills and making purchases, online. According to a recent study by The Wall Street Journal, approximately 3 million e-cards are sent each year.
