VinUnici Proudly Supports the Dallas Women's Foundation

VinUnici (www.VinUnici.com), a premier source of hard-to-find wines, announced today it is supporting the Dallas Women's Foundation (www.dallaswomensfoundation.org) through a donation of gift certificates at the Foundation's 21st Annual Luncheon October 23, 2006.

Colleyville, Texas (PRWEB) October 16, 2006 -- VinUnici (www.VinUnici.com), a premier source of hard-to-find wines, announced today it is supporting the Dallas Women's Foundation (www.dallaswomensfoundation.org) through a donation of gift certificates at the Foundation's 21st Annual Luncheon October 23, 2006.

The Dallas Women's Foundation is a public foundation that promotes women’s philanthropy and raises money to support community programs that help women and girls realize their full potential. Created in 1985, the Dallas Women's Foundation has contributed over $6.3 million in grants to nearly 600 programs or organizations serving women and girls in Dallas, Denton and Collin counties. The organization has also built total assets of more than $11 million to ensure future grant making.

This year's keynote speaker is Wangari Maathai, who won the Nobel Peace Prize for her work in the re-forestation of Kenya. The daughter of farmers, Dr. Maathai rose from humble beginnings to become the first woman in East and Central Africa to earn a Ph.D. In 2004, she became the first African woman—and the first environmentalist—to win the Nobel Peace Prize. She is an inspiring voice for the role of ordinary people in creating social change.

VinUnici co-founder Mark Johnson noted, "We're so pleased to be associated with the Dallas Women's Foundation. I've known and worked with some of their key people and am impressed by the outstanding value the Foundation adds to our community. Being able to contribute to their good work is exciting and rewarding."

VinUnici, which began promoting unique wines . . . from the road less traveled™ earlier this year, is committed to introducing consumers to high quality, hard-to-find wines produced by artisan winemakers. The company carries distinctive wines, exciting wine gift baskets, stunning stemware and other unique gift items. "We also maintain a blog—a wine community, if you will—where we feature interviews with winemakers and provide insights on wine topics," Mr. Johnson said. In addition to its selection of unique wines and gift baskets, the company promotes private wine tastings in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

VinUnici, based in Colleyville, Texas is committed to finding and representing truly "unique wines . . . from the road less traveled™."
