One of Americas Biggest RV Park Franchises, Jellystone Park Campgrounds, has awarded two parks with Franchise of the year. The winners were North Java, NY and the Jellystone Park® campground in Natural Bridge VA. Among the chain of family RV Camping resorts, this award is the most sought after recognition, awarded based on park improvements, amenities and outreach to new campers.

Jellystone Park Campgrounds began its creation and expansion of family friendly tent campgrounds and RV parks in 1969 and since then has expanded to over 70 parks in the United States and Canada making them one of the largest providers of family camping facilities in the Country. This Virginia camping facility at Natural Bridge received this award thanks in large part to the extensive additions and upgrades made to the family campground over the course of 2009. The first and most obvious addition to the campground was the twin mega waterslides that allow campers to race each other through 175' of twists and turns. The campers can race each other and finally end at the base of the hill coming to a soft, splashing halt. The other addition that was made to the Natural Bridge, Virginia campgrounds was the "Yogi Bear's Water Zone" which includes fountains, sprinklers, buckets and other fun surprises, suited for all ages.

Although 2009 was a year of extensive growth and improvement for the campground in Virginia, they do not plan to stop there. The Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Natural Bridge are planning to add two jumping pillow later in 2010 for the campers to jump on as a safe alternative to trampolines or bounce houses.
