On September 18, 2012, Vista Metals Corp delivered 100 new pairs of athletic shoes to three Fontana elementary schools: Tokay, Date, and Beech Ave. A pair of shoes will go to a select number of children designated at each school. Vista Metals is the world’s largest independent producer of specialty aluminum products.
It was a humbling experience for Vista employees as this new partnership touched a special place in everyone’s heart. A special employee community board was created that displayed names, ages, and the shoe size of each child in need. With an overwhelming response to the program, in only three days, 79 name cards had been picked out from the board.
Vista employees once again, displayed what it means to be Highest Caliber and exhibiting the Excellence Always spirit.
“This partnership is one more example of our ongoing commitment to being good citizens,” expressed Andrew Primack, President of Vista Metals Corp. “We identified a need in our community and decided to take action and Shoes That Fit was a great organization to partner with to help children in need.”

Since its inception in 1992, more than 980,000 children in need have received assistance from Shoes That Fit chapters.
