WI Girl Designs launches new website design! Not that the old design wasn’t working, but the old website wasn’t working! After a year of being in business, it was time for a change.
Hiring an SEO company to review the page keywords, weaknesses, and search parameters was the first item on the agenda. The keywords are the most important piece to landing a company on the 1st pages of a search. Coming up with a list of keywords for badge holders is not as easy as one might think. Learning to think like other people is a tough project. Beaded lanyards, birthstone lanyards, pearl jewelry, lanyards, necklaces, bracelets, etc, etc. The list goes on.
It took a few months of analysis, diagnosis, and troubleshooting to come up with a new design.
Luckily, the SEO company was able to transfer my information to the new template.
Slow page loading was the second concern. After switching the hosting service to Go Daddy, the speed was incredible when loading up the first page and moving through other ones.
With a detailed minded entrepreneur like Kim Arendt, there was no way the site would be transferred without her hands in the process. Catching spelling errors, fixing description mistakes, and correcting picture layouts were all managed behind the scenes. Not that this SEO company did a bad job. They just aren’t as detail minded as someone who owns the business and is a perfectionist.
