Walworth County Visitors Bureau Receives Allocation For New Group Sales Manager Position
Job Emphasis Will Be on Promoting Walworth County as a Destination for Group Tours
Elkhorn, Wisc. (Vocus/PRWEB ) December 30, 2008 --- The Walworth County Visitors Bureau has received funding for 2009 to add the position of Group Sales Manager to its staff. The Visitors Bureau will focus on arranging group bus tours of the area to grow tourism in Walworth County.
"We are so grateful to have received funding for this new position," remarks Kathleen Seeberg, Executive Director, Walworth County Visitors Bureau. "We're honored that the county board places such a high value on tourism. With the additional staff member we will be able to step up our efforts to bring revenue from tourism into Walworth County."
Seeberg continues, "Adding this position will enable us to do a thorough job of promoting the many unique attractions we have in the Lake Geneva area and beyond. Our emphasis will be on arranging tours for targeted groups that will meet their specific needs and interests. We have something for everyone in Walworth County, and group tours are a way to ensure that all of the unique attractions, activities, and venues throughout the county are being promoted."
Seeberg expects to fill the position sometime in January of 2009. The primary responsibility of the Group Sales Manager will be to solicit group sales accounts on the local, state, regional and national level, while looking for partnership opportunities within the county and region.
