The Weintraub Duo, which is comprised of husband and wife team, Jason and Nancy Weintraub, have released their second CD, "Weintraub Duo Presents Gershwin and Romance". Their first CD, "Weintraub Duo Presents" was made in 2006. The musical duo was inspired to make another CD to complete the solo piano music of George Gershwin and to create a romantic atmosphere of easy-listening, relaxing music.
Nancy Weintraub plays Rachmaninoff and Gershwin solos and the duo play together beautiful Gershwin melodies, Broadway tunes and popular songs.
Jason and Nancy Weintraub, are both graduates of the Eastman School of Music. They met and married at Eastman and they have been making music together for forty-five years.
In addition to performing together, Jason Weintraub plays English horn in the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra. He is also Personnel Manager and Artistic Liaison to the Program Director at Chautauqua and he directs the Chautauqua Community Band. Jason and Nancy are Board Members of Symphony Partners at Chautauqua, where they just completed their 41st summer season.
Nancy received her degree from Eastman with distinction. She later earned a Master's in Music with a piano performance major. Nancy performed with her teacher, Eugene List, on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1968.
Both Nancy and Jason Weintraub taught music for 35 years. After moving to Bradenton in 2004, they began to concentrate more on performing music around Southwest Florida. From Bradenton to Naples, the Weintraub Duo delights audiences with their entertaining and informative performances. Audiences love the variety and intimacy of their presentations where there is always an opportunity for discussion and questions.
