Window Book Releases DAT-MAIL™ with Mail.dat™ 08-2 Specification

Window Book, Inc. announces its mailing product DAT-MAIL has been upgraded to support the latest Mail.dat 08-2 specification.

Cambridge, MA (PRWEB) July 7, 2008 -- The industry standard for exchanging postal data is Mail.dat® and the dates that mailers are required to produce and accept them for the new 08-2 format is quickly approaching. Window Book, the leader in postal mailing and shipping software, announces its mailing product DAT-MAIL has been upgraded to support the latest Mail.dat 08-2 specification and has included free support of the USPS FAST electronic drop ship scheduling system to help mailers be compliant with Intelligent Mail requirements.

Mailers can easily meet the must catch and must receive dates. DAT-MAIL will automatically recognize the file format version being used, and import either 07-1, 08-1 or 08-2 files accordingly. Older file formats will be automatically converted to the latest 08-2 specification as needed.

We are pleased to enable mailers to make a smooth transition to the new Mail.dat file specification. Users have the flexibility to choose when to update their systems. DAT-MAIL is a post-presort postal data management and statement generation software that can give mailers the ability to keep up with fast-paced changes.
