Wirefly.com Announces the Winners of the “Wirefly Video Challenge”

Wirefly (http://www.wirefly.com), the internet’s leading authorized retailer of cell phones and plans today announces the winner and runners-up for its “Wirefly Video Challenge” contest. Launched in conjunction with Wirefly’s Anniversary Celebration and sponsored by wireless manufacturer LG, the contest tasked people to create a short video about Wirefly.com. Ultimately, three Wirefly shoppers armed with nothing but a cell phone, software and some ingenuity garnered the top spots by demonstrating how shopping at Wirefly can be convenient, affordable, and…hilarious?

The Winner: John Hill, from Orlando, FL, is a mortgage broker by day, an animator, rapper, and cell phone expert by night! In his winning video, an animated cell phone shopper with attitude tells the viewer that he needs a new phone, “like a dog needs a bone,” and proceeds to detail his bone-getting experience when shopping on Wirefly.com.

2nd Place: Stephen Boyd took us into his dorm room at Ball State University in Muncie, IN to offer us his personal ode to Wirefly. Stephen is a man of many talents, from cross-country bicycling to releasing his own albums; in this video, he adds dancing and cell phone shopping to his list of accomplishments.

3rd Place: Carolyn Helene Morse is a writer and actor from Los Angeles and it shows! Her experiences in Hollywood range from puking on Parker Posey to being disqualified from “Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader.” Her prize-winning video highlighted the Wirefly Brand Promise of a better selection, greater savings, straight-forward pricing, and fast, free FedEx shipping when shopping for cell phones. Her creative set designs and use of props and actors got her a 3rd place finish in this contest.

All three winners received cash prizes and new LG phones, valued at over $3,000.
