Vienna, VA (Vocus) September 24, 2009
The Federal Government's General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded XIO Strategies, Inc., a supply chain management and communications consulting firm, with an Advertising and Integrated Marketing Solutions (AIMS), Schedule 541 contract. The AIMS Schedule is designed to help federal government agencies achieve better results by "pre-screening" contractors that specialize in delivering high-quality communications and marketing services.
Under the GSA Schedules (also referred to as Multiple Award Schedules and Federal Supply Schedules) Program, GSA establishes long-term government-wide contracts with commercial firms to provide access to services that can be ordered directly from the approved contractors at volume discount pricing. Orders placed against a GSA Schedule, using the procedures in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 8.4, are considered to be issued using full and open competition due to the thorough screening process.
"As the federal government appropriately places renewed scrutiny on its procurement processes, XIO is privileged to have completed this thorough vetting," said XIO's Director of Marketing and Communications Catherine Thomas. "Whether our clients are seeking marketing services in the areas of strategy development, public affairs, market research, event planning, web services or other related requirements, the GSA AIMS Schedule will ease procurement challenges. This award illustrates yet another way in which we strive to simplify purchasing for government agencies, so we can get to work right away."
