Sacramento, California (PRWEB) August 30, 2012
This past weekend, ‘daily deal’ site YoginiDeals.com joined over 3000 runners to support nonprofit fundraising for arts organizations throughout California at the Sacramento event Race for the Arts. YoginiDeals.com continues to support the arts by donating $1 per yoga and natural health inspired deal sold on their site.
The 14th annual Race for the Arts fun run and arts festival was a great success with over 3000 runners, 7 performing arts groups, including Sacramento Theatre Company and Azuar band, and around fifty interactive arts and sponsor booths! Each year 100% of the pledges raised go to the runners’ designated nonprofit arts organization or school program. As a sponsor, YoginiDeals.com joined the sea of interactive and educational booths and enjoyed watching the show of performances. $1000’s was raised to support the arts this year and the fundraising doesn’t end there.
Current YoginiDeals.com customers can support Race for the Arts when purchasing deals on the site such as online yoga classes, exercise DVDs or healthy weight loss programs. Each deal purchased through the site allocates $1 for Race for the Arts or other nonprofit of the customers’ choice.
Other nonprofits can participate in raising funds through YoginiDeals.com as well. After submitting an application form to the YoginiDeals.com Nonprofits Team and being approved, the nonprofit is listed on the site and customers are able to designate the $1 donation to their nonprofit of choice. The brilliant feature of this fundraising technique is that it’s not a one-time donation. Each time the customer purchases a deal, a donation is made to the organization of their choice.
“This could mean thousands of unexpected fundraising revenue for nonprofits all over the United States!” states Gina Macaluso, Founder and CEO of YoginiDeals.com.
Not just arts organizations but all types of nonprofits are considered, including school programs as well. Race for the Arts was the first nonprofit added to the YoginiDeals.com website, so competition, so to speak, is low right now. But company leaders expect to add on 5-10 nonprofits by the end of the year. There will be a limit to how many nonprofits are added to the site, and there will be a rotation of which organizations are offered throughout the year.
Additional earnings opportunities for these groups will be included throughout the year in the form of ‘Donation Days’ where customers of the site can just donate a dollar amount without any other purchase as well as through YoginiDeals.com events.
With the Race for the Arts event as the kick-off to nonprofit fundraising through YoginiDeals.com, customers and nonprofits can look forward to a great year of fun with philanthropy.
Nonprofits can contact the YoginiDeals.com Nonprofits Team to inquire about participating in the fundraising program by emailing nonprofits (at) YoginiDeals.com.
