Yoursphere announces recent partnerships to help 13 million children suffering from an acute bullying problem in their quest to make easily accessible resources available to them. Sears and Yoursphere Media, Inc. have joined forces to launch Team Up to Stop Bullying to address America’s bullying issue. Team Up to Stop Bullying incorporates Yourpshere’s “I Choose” Anti-Bullying Campaign, and is the first solutions- and service-based anti-bullying coalition striving to provide a trusted place for students, children, victims, parents, educators, schools and communities to find bullying solutions.
NBC-KCRA 3 (Sacramento), in partnership with Yoursphere Media Inc., United States Attorneys’ Office, and ConnecTV, has launched a special multi-platform campaign to help families. Yoursphere has been invited to highlight their “I Choose” Anti-Bullying campaign on NBC - KCRA 3 in a one hour bullying special on October 9, 7 p.m. PST. The KCRA.com site will also launch a social media campaign, an “anti-bullying” partners resource page, and will continue to invite viewers through a series of televised PSA’s to join in the campaign to end bullying. Integral to KCRA’s ongoing campaign are Yoursphere’s principle components, Yoursphere.com, Yoursphere For Parents, and “I Choose.”
Yoursphere Media, Inc., provider of family and youth-oriented social media destinations and privacy solutions for brands, nonprofits and corporations, has joined forces with Sears to include their successful “I Choose” Anti-Bullying Campaign in Sears’ initiative. The "I Choose" campaign is a challenge and movement for change. It is about recognizing bullying for what it is: a choice.
"Yoursphere Media was a natural partner to Sears Corporation’s Team Up bullying resource site. Yoursphere.com offers a dynamic social networking resource to kids where respect and positive engagement are the norm. This is key to help end bullying among youth,” said Marie Newman, Sears Team Up Corporate Director. “YoursphereForParents.com provides much needed practical information to help parents combat bullying and deliver what Team Up is here to do: provide solutions."
The popular kids-only social networking site, Yoursphere.com, is created “by kids, for kids.” It was the Yoursphere youth community who helped drive the “I Choose” Anti-Bullying Campaign. Yoursphere.com members provided the inspiration for the Campaign’s five powerful words that kids can embrace to help end bullying: friendship, kindness, respect, compassion and love. The campaign challenges youth to stop, think and remember that their choices matter.
The non-profit solutions-oriented anti-bullying campaign, “I Choose” (whatdoyouchoose.org), benefits Team Up to Stop Bullying (Sears.com/TeamUp), by offering a practical solution to educators worldwide. Classroom Challenge Starter Kits effectively spread the “I Choose” message to end bullying, while giving educators a foundation for combating bullying issues in their school. As an added dimension to the “I Choose” campaign, Yoursphere also provides a Classroom Sphere program which offers teachers and youth group leaders the resources to create their own online classroom “sphere” or group. Here they can safely interact with their students in a public social network, post homework, classroom announcements, photos, videos and more.
