ZCorum, a leading provider of managed broadband services and diagnostics software, is exhibiting this week at the Caribbean Cable and Telecommunications Association’s (CCTA) Annual Meeting in Southampton, Bermuda. Arthur Skinner, ZCorum’s Vice President of Business Development, will be on hand to demonstrate their TruVizion software, as well as new features in TechVizion, the company’s mobile app for cable modem and CMTS diagnostics. TechVizion takes data collected by TruVizion and presents it in a format suitable for mobile devices like smartphones and tablets.
“We are very excited to once again be a part of the CCTA Annual Meeting, and I’m looking forward to showing the latest release of TechVizion,” said Skinner. Last week ZCorum announced an updated version of TechVizion that adds a CMTS status tab. The new tab allows cable operators to view from a smartphone or tablet the number of modems on a CMTS that are online, off-line or attempting to connect.
Skinner said he will also be available to answer questions about ZCorum’s Broadband Policy Enforcer (BPE), which helps providers manage bandwidth and enforce usage thresholds. “Cable operators have seen a huge increase in traffic from video streaming, so there are a lot of questions about how to fairly implement usage tiers and caps,” said Skinner. “Our BPE system provides a way to automatically notify customers and enforce usage caps as bandwidth thresholds are reached.”
In addition to exhibiting, Skinner said he will be participating in a Technical Highlights session, where he will be presenting a summary of ZCorum’s products and services to meeting attendees. The Technical session will take place from 9:30 to 10:30 on January 23rd.
